Faith and Fellowship Groups

Faith and Fellowship groups are for women in the church whose interests involve everything from in-depth Bible Study to scrapbooking. Groups: Day-time Scrapbooking Group A new daytime scrapbooking group will begin meeting monthly the 4th week of September (date to be announced)from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The cost will be $5.00 per person and childcare will be provided. Scrapbooking tools (cutting system, punches, etc.) have been donated to the church, so you will only need to bring pictures and a few supplies. This new small group is open to all women. A prerequisite for joining this group is that you have completed Disciple Bible Study Course # I.. Class members take turns creating lesson plans and teaching. To find out how you can become a member of this dedicated group of women contact Debbie Smith, 972-459-7520. First Fruit This group focuses on Bible study and fellowship. It meets on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. They meet in N154. Group members are responsible for purchasing their own book and there is a $5.00 registration fee. Contact: Amy Morgan at amorgan3@verizon.net for more information. Genesis This group of women in their 50's and 60's started the "prayer shawl" ministry at Christ UMC several years ago. They gather the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in N-157. New members are always welcome. For more information contact Carolyn Jennings at 972-964-4060. Soul Sisters This group focuses on Bible study, selected books and fellowship. It meets on the first and third Thursday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. in N-157 during the school year.
